Repackaged item, December 27, 2011 By michael yamamura (Saratoga, CA United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 Wide-Angle Lens for NEX Series Cameras (Bulk Packaging) (Electronics) I purchased this through Amazon, via Sunset Electronics. This is my second SEL16F28 lens. I purchased a second camera for my daughter and got this lens to go with it. This particular lens from Sunset came in a generic box, not the Sony Box. I assume it is somehow a return or a second. I haven't played with it too much, since it is my daughter's Christmas present, however I haven't noticed any problem with it. If I were to do it again, I wouldn't purchase from Sunset Electronics. I probably will avoid them in the future.
Update - To be fair, I looked at the item I ordered, and it states that it is "bulk packaging". I'm not sure what that means, so I guess it was my fault for ordering it. Live and learn I guess. I'll change my rating from a disappointed 1 star to 3 star - good job sneaking that by me.
